Blessed of the Lord

What’s up People of God! It has been a minute or wait let me say it has been a while. It is with great pleasure that I write to you today.😊

This is my first post this year so a very Happy New Year to you my readers, subscribers, and followers for reading my articles, engaging with the same, and sharing the posts as well. This year will mark a major turning point to success for you in Jesus Mighty Name,(Amen).

Today, God is reminding you through this post that you are blessed of the Lord. Before we proceed, I will like us to define the word ‘blessed’. In my own point of view, a man who is “blessed” enjoys divine grace, mercy and goodness of the Lord. A man who is blessed need not announce it that he is blessed. His life shows it, his career indicates it, his marriage displays it, his children see it, whatever the man engages in, is favoured and graced.

Following on, let’s discover who the Bible describes as blessed, the scripture says in Psalms 1:1-3, verse 1 defines a blessed man as one who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, and verse 3 defines a blessed man as a man who is like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth fruits in his season, his leaves shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. This preceding paragraph says it all that a blessed man is one in which whatsoever he doeth prospers.

There are 11 verses in the Bible that talk about a man who is blessed. The verses also indicate some principles and criteria before one can be considered blessed of the Lord. I will like to state the verses one after the otheršŸ’„

  1. Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
  2. Psalms 32:2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
  3. Psalms 65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
  4. Psalms 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
  5. Psalms 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
  6. Psalms 112:1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
  7. Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
  8. Isaiah 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
  9. Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
  10. Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
  11. James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

This article is not complete without me indicating that there are several blessings that God has for us in the scriptures that does not begin with “blessed is the man” for example, Psalms 121: 8 states that “The Lord shall preserve they going out and they coming in from this time forth and even for evermore. Also my dear friendsšŸ’«, you should check out Deuteronmomy 28: 1- 13. I will love to list it out as well:

  1. Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth
  2. Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
  3. Deuteronomy 28:3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
  4. Deuteronomy 28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
  5. Deuteronomy 28:5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
  6. Deuteronomy 28:6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
  7. Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
  8. Deuteronomy 28:8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
  9. Deuteronomy 28:9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
  10. Deuteronomy 28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
  11. Deuteronomy 28:11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
  12. Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
  13. Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

There is a prerequisite that we need to adhere to before receiving God’s blessings as stated in Deuteronomy 28: 1- 13 and that is harkening diligently to the voice of the Lord and observing to do all he has said šŸ’Æ. However if a man does not adhere, then he is calling for the opposite of blessings. May the Lord help us to observe his commandments so we can enjoy all this blessings he has in store in Jesus Mighty Name, (Amen).

Please if you are not one of God’s children, you are actually not pleasing God and you need to be saved so you can enjoy the blessings he has in store for his children. Please close your eyes and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart, forgive you all your sins, wash you in his blood and make you his child forever. Viola, you are saved. HalleluyahšŸ˜ŠšŸ™šŸ¼šŸ’ƒ. Kindly send us a message we want to pray with you and advise you on how to attain spiritual growth. In the meantime, please join a Bible-believing Church. Congratulations,😊 God bless youšŸ™šŸ¼.
