Hiš welcome to another episode of our blog, “Joy of the Lord”! Have you ever wondered why, despite being born again, you sometimes feel downhearted? Today, we’ll explore the reasons behind this and discover how to experience the joy of the Lord.
1. Lack of understanding: One reason for lack of joy is a limited understanding of God’s love, grace, and promises. Growing in knowledge and understanding of God’s Word cultivates a greater sense of joy in the Lord.
2. Surrendering to God: Fellowship with the Lord is crucial. By attending a Bible-believing church and learning about God, we dwell in His presence, equipping us with joy. Psalm 16:11 (KJV) states, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
3. Choosing to express joy: We can choose to experience the joy of the Lord because of His presence within us. Habakkuk 3:18 (KJV) states, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” We can intentionally choose to rejoice and find joy in our salvation.
The joy of the Lord acts as a weapon. In Nehemiah 8:10, Nehemiah and the Levites encouraged the people of Jerusalem not to grieve over their sins but to find their strength in the joy of the Lord. This joy provides spiritual and emotional strength to endure life’s challenges.
Let’s focus on the joy of our salvation. By finding joy and delight in God’s presence and promises, we gain the spiritual and emotional strength to persevere and triumph.
It’s crucial to understand that the joy of the Lord comes from having a relationship with Him, trusting in His salvation, allowing the Holy Spirit lead us and experiencing His presence in our lives.
In conclusion, let’s embrace what David said in Psalm 16:11: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
May we continually renew our relationship with God and enjoy His presence, thereby experiencing the joy of the Lord every day.
Thank you!
Have a beautiful and blessed week ahead filled with the joy and peace of the Lord. ššššø.
